In June 2020, Sumit and Priyanka, an eloped couple, have to return to their hometown due to the financial hardships caused by the lockdown. Once there, Sumit is still struggling to find a job as he and Priyanka are holed up in a decrepit Boys' Hostel. Their current crisis makes them seek solace elsewhere. As Sumit spends his time relaxing with friends, Priyanka seeks to return to the comfort of her conservative father's home. Her father agrees to let her come back under the condition that she abandon Sumit for good. Unsure about leaving him, Priyanka, in trying to remind Sumit about his responsibilities as the provider, ends up dumping all her anxieties on him. This results in Sumit, who carries his heart on his sleeve, being emotionally devastated. As the town drowns in the monsoon, an emotional distance has grown between him and Priyanka. Sumit's behavior after this gets rowdier as he tries to establish his own control over the house, while Priyanka fights to build a home. Are the differences between them too big to cross, or can a bridge be built between both sides of the pond?
