Biography: Born in Bangalore (India), Kiran R is a screenwriter, director, and editor. Filmmaking was a choice made out of passion for cinema despite holding a degree in engineering. After a few years of employment in the field of animation and VFX, he started to make live-action short films on zero-budget with the help of his friends which garnered recognition and awards at international film festivals. And, later went on to assist director Mani Ratnam in his 2017 feature film, Kaatru Veliyidai. "Kayamai Kadakka" aka “Parallel Lines” is Kiran's first feature-length film shot independently with a crew size of five and two lead actors.
