Basti tells the story of 3 of India’s 100 million slum dwellers: a researcher in Mumbai named Bali, a seamstress in Bengaluru named Madhu, and a cook in Delhi named Jyoti. This documentary takes you into their homes, explains how misguided governments make their lives extraordinarily difficult, and calls for urgent reforms to ensure that the millions of children living in slums are not condemned to a lifetime of poverty.
